Food is Love

Whenever I think back on my childhood, it seems that everything positive and good involved the creation and sharing of food.
When I think about my mom and the countless school lunches she prepared or after school snacks and dinners, it just makes me love her that much more.
For me, food is love.
I cook at least three meals a day for my girls and husband because I love them. I want their nourishment to come from meals I create. When my daughter looks at me and says "mommy, this is SO good," its the best part of my day.
As easy as it would be to order take out or drive thru, its just not the same. Forgetting the nutritional value of a home cooked meal, the food that comes from your stove is just filled with an ingredient the restaurant cannot add, love.
Cooking, for me, is a passion. I want to spend the rest of my life becoming better at it. And to me, with each meal I create, cookie I bake or school lunch I pack, I'm that much closer to the people that mean the most to me. So, my journey, (although many years in the making) starts now.
So, please join me on my journey as I begin to record all my best meals. I will be revisiting old classics and attempting new recipes that I have never had the guts to try before. I welcome your comments, suggestions and most of all feedback when you too go to the stove and try something I post. Thanks for holding my hand through this process, I'm going to need all the help I can get...French Culinary Institute HERE I COME!

About Me

Really cool chick that loves to cook and write about it. Hoping I can make classic recipes better with a bit of creativity and love.
